Share Music is a video series and a VR (Virtual Reality) project about my quest to get great musicians and other great people from around the world to contribute a part to the Share Music song (scroll down to hear the song, and further for the lyrics.)

A main point of Share Music is to learn how very differently people in different cultures view the world, each other, and music. My purpose is to expand my view, and maybe yours, of what people, and music, are capable of.
My first book, people told me, made them laugh out loud, but had a serious point. I'm trying to do the same with Share Music.
I have already met and spoken with great musicians in South Africa who are changing their part of the world (and have already changed it – ever heard of Apartheid? No? Thank them!) The South African part has been filmed, but not yet edited (that's where I got the clips I used in the song demo video, below.)
As the world, especially when traveling, always seems a bit magical to me, there is a bit of fiction/fantasy thrown in to the Share Music project, to reflect how genuinely magical I find life, traveling, and music. In other words, it's not like the Share Music videos are boring documentaries or pompous preaching, or anything like that. It's serious, but funny. (Like my book.)

FAQ
Q I can see the drummer drumming and saxophone player playing, but I don't hear anything else in the song but the singing, drums, and piano. Why not?
A It seemed clear to me, but apparently not to some viewers, so I'll say again, here, what it says at the start of the video, and above the video. The is the DEMO. This is the recording I made in my friend's basement in Germany, just after I wrote the song. It also says above the video "Just me, a drum machine, and a one-hand chord played on my computer keypad. That's it".
It's here to show collaborators the entire song, so they can think about how to contribute to it.
Q But why show film from Africa if you don't use the audio you recorded there?
A Because I felt like it. Something to look at while you listen.
Q How many more people will contribute to the song?
A I think it's endless. Very soon, we'll have a way for anyone on earth to contribute. I think it's gonna be cool. School choruses, orchestras, post-modern psycho punk bands, whatever.
This is just the beginning.
A broader answer might be that the website is lagging behind the post-production, which is lagging behind the production. But we'll get the website and everything caught up, soon :)
SO...
The point of the Share Music Project is to take this mere BEGINNING of a song, and turn it into a finished song, with musicians from around the world contributing. The equally important goal is to see the world, and music, from different perspectives, to broaden our views of music and life.
Unlike similar things you may have seen in the past, this time, it's not done online. I GO to Japan, I GO to Africa, I GO wherever, and learn about the world, through music.
